Okay, so like, I saw this ~Theory~ on twitter or something that was like, “everyone dies and they wake up and realize it’s just a simulation and the world hasn’t ended just yet but is about to and that’s the huge twist for season 6″. And while I highly doubt that’s what is going to happen, it got me thinking and actually gave me kinda some muse????

Imagine it: Somehow towards the end of the episode, everyone is dead/dying. Clarke is the last to go, but as everything fades to black and goes to ‘credits’ it’s actually credits for the simulation they were all in. It thanks her for being a part of the project and is all “you completed x x and x challenges, you survived x days, you made x right choices, you were the last alive. Your memories are returning to you and you will be reunited with your loved ones. Thank you for being involved in trying to safeguard the future of our world.” She hears Abby’s voice calling for her, and another voice saying the simulation has ended for everyone, and cut to the real credits.

SO MUCH POTENTIAL FOR BRINGING EVERYONE BACK. Which is obv my main thing bc I miss Bryan and others, but that’s here nor there. Let’s keep this going and think about it.

It’s actually a more recent year in the real world, and the project is one to try and safe guard the world and figure out how to make it if the event were to happen, because WWIII has technically started/is about to start and they’re trying to figure out how to keep the human race safe. Which in comes the game where they all volunteered and were placed on either the ark, the ground, or the prison ship. All their real memories were wiped and replaced with new ones for the simulation.

Not everyone knows everyone on the outside though. Obviously the families do; i.e. Clarke and Abby, Miller and his dad, the Blakes, Jaha and Wells, Indra and Gaia, etc. But also friends like Jasper and Monty are friends outside of this, Harper and Monroe are friends outside of this. Plus you’ve got real relationships, like Bryan and Miller, and Jasper and Maya actually dating outside of this. So like, some of them do, but most of them are just people that have volunteered and don’t know the others.

You’ve got memories from the real world put into the simulation too; Jake is actually dead, and Abby and Clarke gave him in their info, so that’s why he seemed to appear on the ark with them. Same with people like, Bryan’s mom, who died before this, Costia, who was really Lexa’s girlfriend but was murdered, and the Blake’s mom, who is actually on drugs and prostituting in the real world, which is why the Blakes’s volunteered for the money from the project, and she was inserted into their memories for the simulation too.

The simulation technically started when the decision was made to send the 100 to the ground; all choices, etc, after that were their own from the memories/stories they were given. And like, one month in the real world is one year in simulation time; so they weren’t technically in the simulation for as long as they thought, but were in there long enough for the memories to be processed and researched and used. They each had ‘checkpoints’ to try and reach, i.e. surviving to the ground, surviving mt. weather, surviving the chip, etc.

And so when someone dies in the simulation, the credits are rolled, they get their memories of the real world back, and are reunited with their loved ones. They can also ‘plug in’ to their loved ones who are still in the simulation to watch them, i.e. Hannah and Monty’s dad can watch him, Maya could watch for Jasper, Wells could watch Jaha, Bryan could watch Miller, etc.

So then like, Clarke wakes up and sees everyone in the huge room that she’s in, all the machines lined up and turned off where everyone has now been woken up. THEN it HITS. The bombs. War has started and they’re not completely ready. Then suddenly it’s a whole new ballgame and they’re trying to figure out how to actually survive this with all the memories they have from the simulations.

… And I kinda want a group verse of it somehow, but idk how that would happen, but like, the idea just kinda struck me and I 1000% would be way more interested if that happened.
