Shoutout to all the people who are trying hard to be more positive and make meaningful changes in their lives and work towards recovery because it’s hard and people definitely don’t say it enough, but focusing on yourself is very difficult & the progress you’re making is valuable.

Bryan is born on the ground as a nightblood. But he doesn’t want to train and become commander, he just wants to farm and raise animals. And so he basically has to get dragged to Polis, grumping and fighting the entire way. And he’s sulky and all 😡 at everyone, because he just wants to go out and plant a little garden, and no one will let him. Instead he just gets smacked around in training bc he doesn’t like doing it. And somehow he becomes commander and he’s all, “fuck you all, I can have my garden now.”
